Mom to four kids with a variety of diagnoses (autism, Marfan syndrome, and a brain injury), Maya Brown-Zimmerman is no stranger to facing adversity. While many in her situation might find themselves consumed with only managing the health and wellbeing of their own family, for Maya, resiliency equals community. With a Masters in Public Health and a passion for patient advocacy, Maya is an active volunteer with The Marfan Foundation and a stand that families have what they need to thrive.
